We all know what human babies look like in the womb. Dozens of ultrasound scans and sonography tests can reveal images of the human fetus. But have we ever wondered what animal babies look like when they’re in the womb of their mother? We managed to find some unique pictures showing baby animals inside the womb and they look simply adorable!

1. Dolphin
This image shows a baby Bottlenose Dolphin at six months of gestation age. By this time, small teeth and tail fins have begun to appear. The dolphin will be given birth by 12 months.
2. Puppy
Looks slightly bear-like, but soon enough it would start growing its canine teeth.
3. Penguin
Thanks to technology, we can now observe penguin fetus’ from inside the egg yolk. As we see here, this baby penguin is nearly developed and ready to hatch.
4. Snake
Although snakes grow inside a hard shell like an egg, they can develop very strong organs like the brain and spinal column. A snake baby will probably look like an alien due to the absence of any limbs but they resemble tiny lizards inside the womb.
5. Cheetah
This baby cheetah is two months old inside the womb, and soon it will be born and raised as the most dangerous carnivore animal on the planet.
6. Asian elephant
This baby elephant is half way through its gestation period of 22 months. It has already started to grow a small trunk and limbs.
7. Polar bears
They will be born as twins and have completed nearly two-thirds of their gestational period. As we can see, these cubs have started growing tiny claws and fur.
8. Lemon shark
It looks pretty tiny but in a few weeks, it will be born to become one of the ferocious animals of the ocean.
