After I read about the world’s most colorful buildings and some others that come to life at night, it is time for something shaky. The Sathorn Unique Building towers in Bangkok are 49 floors of ruin. It was going to be a premium luxury apartment, but, is now home to stray dogs, homeless and drug addicts.
Let us know a few creepy and interesting facts about the “Ghost Tower”.
Rangsan Torsuwan got involved in a case that went on for 15 years. Praman Chansue’s murder was the case, but Rangsan was later acquitted in 2010.
Due to the case, it became difficult for the architect to secure funds, moreover the 1997 Asian Financial crisis had reduced the chances of completing the towers.
Its walls contribute to the mystery.
And it is open to the tourists from 2pm to 8pm everyday.
In 2014, the dead body of a Swedish backpacker was discovered on the 43rd floor, by a Thai photographer.
Debris, holes, stagnant water pools, loose electrical wires, broken toilets, and crumbling structures welcome you into the towers. Some floors are lit up by faint bulbs, while others are pitch black.
It has a collection of graffiti on the walls, both beautiful and creepy.
Trust me, you’d risk it all just for the views from up there. Also, there’s that adrenaline factor attached making it even more blood-rushing.
