Skin is the most indivisible part of the human body. In life, many things come and go but what actually remains are the marks that speak about our stories. Riikka Hyvonen, a photographer who realizes and decides to tint and sculpt the bums to arrest the momentary marks or bruises that are seen completely different in the mainstream than inside the culture of roller derby players. The feminist spirit of the derby sport can be seen as the bruises, the girls get are something to be proud of. In Derby, they show off their bottoms as a matter of honour. So, this photographer captures pictures that show the beauty or bruises of butts and also where the wounds depict the mini galaxy world.
Riikka Hyvonen, the photographer uses wood, leather, glitter. He breaks the surface of leather paints it and then again breaks it. He repeats the process ‘n’ number of times so as to hypnotize on the canvas like the skin.
